DIPEA (2.66 muL, 0.015 mmol) was added and the reaction and was stirred for 3.5 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated and was purified by RPHPLC (C18 column, CH3CN/H2O, gradient, 35% to 55%). The desired product fractions were frozen and lyophilized to give maleimide, compound D1 as a solid white powder (5.3 mg, 58% yield). LCMS=5.11 min (8 min method). MS (m/z): 1100.6 (M+1)+.
